What is the Truth?

What Is Truth

Let’s look at a couple of sourses.

Religious views on truth. Truth is most often used to mean being in accord with fact or reality, or fidelity to an original or standard. Religious views on truth vary both between and within religions. The most universal concept of religion that holds true in every case is the inseparable nature of truth and religious belief. Each religion sees itself as the only path to truth. Truth, therefore, is never relative, always absolute.More at Wikipedia

Truth is not subjective, it is not a consensual cultural construct, and it is not an invalid, outdated, irrelevant concept. Truth is the self-expression of God. Truth is thus theological; it is the reality God has created and defined, and over which He rules. Truth is therefore a moral issue for every human being. Grace to You

Simply, we can define truth as a statement about the way the world actually is. We’ll look at various theories below that philosophers have considered but that’s an adequate rough-and-ready definition to get us started. Coming up with a definition of truth falls under the discipline of epistemology or the study of knowledge though some philosophers categorize it as a study in metaphysics–the study of what is real. Philosophy News

and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 ESV

As a friend of mine often says “it is dangerous to go that deep without a snorkel!” For this website let me define truth as The things God’s Word, says about us.

This site is not here to argue politics, the state of the nation, or my God can beat up your God. All of those things are very important, but there are other sites to do that on. If using the Bible for a reference point bothers you this may not be for you, but on second thought it may be exactly what you need. Everyone is welcome here, but if you come to argue this is not the place for it. If your belief is different from mine, I respect that, if you claim to have no religion, I can respect that. But the debate stops at the door of this portal. We can come together and learn, we can come together and share insights. I will be having different writers on the blog from time to time. If you have the experience to share we may even share it so we can become better together.

I am not an expert! I can be corrected. So if you feel I am out of line, tell me so. www.David@dmosttc.com (you can also send an email for the fun of it as well.) I read at least 4 books every month. Leadership, philosophy, self-wellness, business trends, and how the brain works. I try to read books of the Bilble every month as well. Even a few good old fiction stories as well. I will challenge you to ‘think about what you are thinking about and quite often. Just because I read so much means very little except, that it gives me a basis to build this site. If that knowledge can turn into wisdom. Let’s share it. Also, by reading you will set yourself up to have more material to pull from as you work with others.

I believe God gave us a brain to use, instead of blindly believing what I say, go check out the sources. In the next couple of months, I will turn 67. I have seen fire and I have seen rain, I have seen the good die young, and I have watched friends change some for the good, some for the bad. I have done wrong, I also learned how to ask for forgiveness. As for as I see it. None of us are going to get out of this world alive. Let’s start looking more for the ways we can lift each other. Stop focusing on another person’s fault, life is short.

If you need to build your own site, go to the Reference Page, I will point you to the tools I have used to make this one. I will also be putting items on here that I will be selling. You will find them marked on the blog pages and on the Project page. If I put it up for sale, I will have used it most of the time. (I do not read many women’s books, so those will be referred to me by people I trust.)

This page will be updated a couple of times a week. You will find blog posts on everything from spiritual topics to the latest book I read. That could be health and fitness, leadership, philosophy, and thinking about what we think about. This site’s main aim is to help people move closer to being the person that God wants us to be!
